Bella: Generally speaking, yes. Any type of phone should work with a prepaid calling plan, but the phone has to be compatible with the network that you are using. For example, a Verizon phone cannot be used for a prepaid plan through T-Mobile. You can discuss the use of an existing phone for a new prepaid plan with the appropriate representative from your preferred wireless provider.

does the prepaid plan fit with any type of phone??

Vicki: Yes, you can do that. When your contract runs out, your phone will continue to function on the same plan as you had during your plan (though it may change with notice). If you want to switch to prepaid, simply call your provider and tell them what you would like to do. They can certainly work out a solution that will work for you.

I am confused with this site and in a hurry. What have you got in a US cellular cell phone?

Linda: It would depend on the terms of your contract. Oftentimes, when you sign a contract with a cellular provider (like US Cellular), you are bound to using a monthly plan for the length of the contract. When the contract expires, you should be able to switch to a prepaid calling plan, but while still under contract, this is typically not possible without paying a fee to "break" the contract. For more specific details, it would be best to call the customer service line at US Cellular.

My question is, if I have a US Cellular contract phone can it be used for pay as you go cell phone cards . . . in other words can I use my own cell phone or do I need a pay as you go phone sold with the cards.
