The battery backup of the iphone is pathetic. If GPRS is activated, the battery finishes in about 2 hours. If the GPRS is daectivated, the battery finishes in about 6 hours. What's the use of a phone if the battery backup is so poor!

Joe: You can try contacting your service provider about being able to forward text messages to a different wireless number, but there is no direct feature that provides this functionality. The iPhone is not capable of MMS or "picture messaging", but there are email-based workarounds for this.

I purchased an IPhone for US$599 in July, 2007. The first IPhone I purchased worked for awhile before a complete hardware failure. Apple replaced it with a refurbished IPhone which also had a hardware failure! The third phone started having no volume problems for about 10 to 15 seconds for incoming calls. I took the phone in and they suggested I reinstall the settings. After doing this I received a message that ITunes did not recognize my IPhone. So I took it in to the Apple Store and they loaded the OS. The IPhone worked for about a week and when I tried to load the newest IPhone OS, I received another Phone needs repair and the IPhone was inoperative except to make 911 calls. This is a faulty phone and poor technology. Apple's warranty sucks and they do not stand behind their product. The Apple management should be in put in jail for selling this crap! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS EXPENSIVE PIECE OF GARBAGE! Any real phone is better!
