Can I Upload: It would depend on your mobile phone and what sort of capabilities it has. If your phone has an MP3 player built into it, there should be some way for you to upload music.

Paul: From what I recall, the ringtone music files have to transferred to the phone's internal memory for them to work. Check your user manual to see how to transfer the files from your memory card to the phone's internal memory.

Melody: Assuming that your Samsung phone uses microSD memory cards (also known as TransFlash), you may need to either get a dedicated microSD card reader or to get an adapter that converts the microSD into a standard SD memory card. From there, you should be able to use any variety of SD card readers on your computer.

t: What do you mean by they do not sound normal? You cannot expect perfect sound quality out of the Nokia 6500, because it is a phone first and a music player second. It could also be an issue with file format and codec support.

Retha Coker: After inserting the microSD card into the SD card adapter, you can insert this whole thing into the card reader, which is connected to your computer. It will show up the same as an external USB thumb drive. From there you can just drag and drop the files. Do note that the memory card may need to be "formatted" first. This means that you should insert the microSD card into your phone first. From what I remember, the card will either format itself or you need to hold the "OK" button for five seconds. Jenn: The w580i should have come with some Walkman software so that you can load music into the Memory Stick inside the phone (you may need to buy and/or insert this yourself). If not, you can place the memory stick into a card reader on your computer and load the music manually.

Temmy: Refer to the two comments that I just made for a little more guidance. It will depend largely on your cell phone and your cellular provider, so unless you give me a little more information, it's hard for me to help you. The best advice is to check the user manual for the section relating to uploading music. Note that not all phones have the ability to play MP3 files and not all phones have built-in music players.

Nat: From what I remember, the Nokia N95 should come with a software suite that you need to install on your computer. This software suite may also include the proper drivers so that your computer can properly recognize the phone. Use this software package for your uploads and it should work just fine.

Arina: If the phone came with software and a data cable, you can use that method. Alternatively, you can take the memory card out and insert it into a memory card reader for your PC. From there, it should show up as an external drive (like how a USB flash drive shows up), and you can drag and drop the music files. Double check with your user manual to see if the memory card needs to be formatted first.

Anne: From what I remember, so long as the cable fits in the appropriate port, it should be able to work for both your phone and the camera. Most modern Motorolas use mini-USB, so the IC602 should be too.

I have a Telus LG chocolate slide phone (8500) and i cant seem to find any way of upoading music and media via my PC i cant even transfer music from phone to phone via bluetooth and im really upset to hear that telus is really bad for cripling bluetooth but I have the data cable and i need some sort of software to be able to upload stuff onto my phone can you please please help i am going out of my mind i want to upload music from my pc how to I know what program i need and how to use it?

I just got my son a wayestar LH101 cell with MP3 player......It didn't come with disc, and I can't get songs from the memory card to the MP3 player ob the phone...?This phone is new to USA it comes from China...It's a touch screen and it is nice butI think I messed up buying this phone as getting help is impossible!! Sajin: The iPhone does not have a memory card slot. If you are trying to read songs from a MMC card, check to see if the write protection is off. This could be a small switch on the card itself or it could be software-based. Right-click on it, check the properties, and ensure that the "read-only" checkbox is not ticked.

Bernie: Actually, I believe that cell phone has a memory card slot. Memory Stick Micro (M2) if I'm not mistaken. If you purchase the memory, you should be able to load the songs from your computer using a card reader. Just make sure that the card is properly formatted first. Check your phone's user manual; there should be a section on this.

Robert: The LG Venus should have a memory card expansion slot. The best course of action, I think, is to get a good brand memory card of your chosen capacity, format it as necessary (instructions in the phone manual), and then load up the songs from your computer via a card reader. I've noticed that LG phones, especially those from Verizon, can sometimes be finicky with file formats and memory card brands. It's best to have songs that are NOT variable bit rate and to stick to memory cards from well-known name brands like Sandisk.

Ryan: The Nokia 6151 has a memory card expansion slot that accepts microSD memory cards. Buy one of those types of memory cards and it will come with an adapter that makes the small card the same size as a standard SD card. You can then insert that into a card reader on your computer. It will show up the same as a USB Flash drive. The songs can then be loaded through your file explorer. Check with the instruction manual on your phone to see if the memory card needs to be formatted by the phone first.

Lauren: Assuming that you are running Windows XP, you should be able to find the memory card by clicking on the Start Menu, then My Computer. From there, the card should show up as an external drive. Double click on that and it will open up, just like any other folder on your computer. I'm not familiar with the interface on the LG Shine, but you may need to format the card in the phone before you can upload songs onto it. Check with your user manual regarding memory card formatting.

Tanisha: It would depend on the make and model of your mobile phone, because it would have to have the OBEX (object exchange) profile activated in Bluetooth. Pairing your computer with the cell phone would also depend on the software included with your computer's Bluetooth adapter, but after you "pair" the two items, you should be able to see the internal file/folder structure of your phone, dragging and dropping music files as you would on an external memory card.

klwa: Because the Pantech Duo has a microSD expansion slot, the easiest way to get music on your phone would be to use a microSD-to-SD adapter and load the songs directly from your computer using a SD card reader/writer. Be sure to check your owner's manual about proper formatting of the card, because the file/folder structure may affect how the phone reads the card's contents. Also be sure to check about file format compatibility.

RVD: Because the lack of a memory card slot, you may or may not be able to upload music to your phone. The T509 also doesn't have a media player, so you may only be able to use music as a ringtone and even that might not be possible. Check with your user manual.

Li and Ash Bash: The Chocolate phone should have come with an installation CD for your (Windows-based) computer. Install this software on your PC and follow the on-screen instructions for transfering music to your phone, which should be connected via USB cable, just as Li mentioned. Verizon has a reputation for "crippling" their phones, so you may not be able to use custom MP3 ringtones. Instead, these songs can only be played in the MP3 player. Also bear in mind that songs purchased through iTunes come with digital rights management (FairPlay DRM). iTunes songs are also not in MP3 format. Both of these prevent the music file from being played on any device other than the computer that purchased the song and a single iPod.

okay no offense none of this was helpful, because it is not what i am trying to use to get music... i'm in the same boat as angie... i have music all on my itunes, and other music generators. i want to download music from my computer to my LG chocolate model kg800 phone by using the USB cord... i am having problems knowing how to do so. a colleague of mine told me my package should come with a disk; download the disk on the computer... the computer (if you are wondering)is an HP windows.... i tried that, but i am still confused... so hopefully with all this lovely info you can be of some use, b'cuz i am dying to use my mp3 on my phone! lol
