Unique Motorola RAZR Phones
From LoveToKnow Cellphones
For those of you looking to be hip and with it, while at the same time standing out a little from the rest of the crowd, you may be best advised to take a gander at these unique Motorola RAZR phones. Sure, we're starting to see quite the wide palette of colors when it comes to the slim clamshell, but there are actually several other unique Motorola RAZR phones that bring more to the table than a new paint job. Check them out.
Unique Motorola RAZR Phones
The RAZR is popular and for good reason. When it first came to market, it was a unusual phone in its own right, departing from the growing trend (at the time) of the incredible shrinking mobile phone, and opting for a super slim form factor (at the expense of a slightly larger footprint). They say that hindsight bias is 20-20, but clearly, the MOTORAZR has been a resounding success for the world's second largest cell phone maker. Here are a few of the more interesting takes on the popular flip phone.
Motorola RAZR V3i D&G Edition
This one may only be for those with plenty of money to throw around. Originally unveiled in late 2005, the Dolce & Gabbana limited edition Motorola RAZR V3i is an incredibly pricey number. It's not because this unique Motorola RAZR comes with some high-end features that push the technological envelope. Rather, this elite phone -- only about 1,000 have been made available to the public -- is plated in gold. Its specs aren't groundbreaking -- 1.23 megapixel camera, SCREEN3, Bluetooth, TransFlash expansion, etc. -- but its golden complexion will certainly turn a few heads.
Miami Ink
Miami Ink is a cable TV hit, pushing tattoos further into the mainstream. If you're a little too timid to get a little ink on your own body, you may want to dress up your handheld communicator with special Miami Ink versions of the Motorola RAZR. The aluminium phones will get laser etched (i.e., "tattooed"), boasting original designs like dragons and the like. These are absolutely authentic, with the phone tattoos being designed by Ami James, star of Miami Ink.
The KRZR
The RAZR has been a resounding success for Motorola, so the follow-up needed to make a big bang. They hope to do that with the recently released KRZR (pronounced "crazer"). This follow-up, compared with its predecessor, is slightly narrower, longer, and thicker. The specifications, however, don't really explain the extra girth. The features have not been improved substantially, still offering Bluetooth, digital camera, Screen3, and microSD. Available in both CDMA and GSM.
MOTORAZR MAXX
The MOTORAZR MAXX may not look all that different from the RAZR V3x, but it's got a whole lot of juicy features. High-speed data is taken care of via EDGE and HSDPA, whereas your imaging and musical needs are satiated with the 2 megapixel primary camera and integrated media player, respectively. There is also a secondary VGA camera for video calls, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a 2.2-inch QVGA display, and touch sensitive music controls on the cover. In addition, it is 25% thinner than the RAZR V3x. This truly is a unique (and powerful) Motorola RAZR phone.
RIZR slider phone
If slider phones are more your cup of tea, you may want to hold out a bit and wait for the Motorola RIZR (pronounced "riser"). The keypad is much the same as its clamshell cousin, but you also get to enjoy a 2.0 megapixel camera, landscape display, integrated multimedia player, video capabilities, and what Motorola calls "intuitive functionality." They've even got a Bluetooth headset to accompany the RIZR: The H800 boasts a "unique sliding mechanism."
