T Mobile Dash Faceplate

From LoveToKnow Cellphones

T-Mobile Dash faceplates, along with carrying cases and special screens, can make your phone uniquely yours. Choose from a selection of pre-designed cases with your favorite sports teams, characters, color, or art... or design your own!

Find T-Mobile Dash Faceplates

There are three ways to give your phone the updated look you're after with faceplates: the snap-on type, which is old school and plastic; the newer skins, which attach to the front and back of the phone; and the silicone skin covers that wrap around your phone almost as a shock-absorbing bubble. They all protect your phone from scratches, but only the silicone skin covers will do much for protecting it from damage if you drop it. For that, there are padded cases. You can use both a case and a faceplate or skin at once. With the snap-on faceplates, skins, or the silicone skin cases, you can still use your keyboard and see your screen as usual. Your phone will operate as normal.

Snap-on

  • Wirester: At Wirester, you'll find one of the largest selections of Dash faceplates around. Choose from snap-on plates with prints like zebra and international, or colors like carbon, pink, hot pink, clear, and smoke.
  • Accessory Geeks has plastic cases in blue, red, pink, silver, smoke, and more. Some have belt clips attached so you can change the look of your phone and make it easier to keep up with. There's a separate selection for the T-Mobile Dash 3G.
  • Day Deal has T-Mobile Dash faceplates, too. They have a small mix of colors like blue, pink, hot pink, and red, as well as clear cases and prints like zebra, love drops, blue flowers and carbon fiber. If you have a hard time removing faceplates when you're ready to switch up your look, you can pick up a faceplate removal pry tool for $4.95.

Skins

Skins seem to be the new faceplate covers. You don't have to take your phone apart in order to give it an updated look. There's no snapping on or snapping apart, plus there's less of a chance for breakage, both in terms of the phone and the cover you bought for $20.00.

  • T-Mobile Skins has just about any type of skin you could want for your phone. If they don't, go to the Create Your Own section and design it yourself. What better way to personalize your cell phone? Choose from categories like: Collegiate, Disney, Pink Fashion, Butterfly, Military, Rides, Holidays, and more.
  • Skin It is another site with plenty of skins to choose from. You get the illusion of a new faceplate, but they just stick onto the existing surface. You can choose from the ready-made designs they have or create your own there too.

Skin Covers

Skin covers are meant to absorb shock, so if there's a faceplate-lookalike out there meant to take a beating, it's this type. They come in different colors and often have a frosted appearance.

  • Cell Phone Shop has an item called a Skin Case, which is made of silicone and fits snugly around your cell phone. It doesn't have to be removed for you to use your phone, your keyboard, your camera, or any other feature. The texture is also "grippy" so you're less likely to drop your phone when it's wearing one of these.
  • Extreme PDA also has the silicone case. These cases are made to fit the T-Mobile Dash perfectly so there's no hassle when you want to snap a quick picture or rapidly type a message. They are similar to faceplates, but they do not require you to remove the casing of your own phone. You put them on over it.
  • Also check Amazon.com for the skin covers there.

Alternatives

If you can't find the variety in the T-Mobile Dash faceplate selection you'd hoped for, there are several other options you can choose from to personalize your phone, like:

  • Shield protector cases
  • Carrying cases (there are several different types, colors, and materials available in this category)
  • Fashion pockets, drawstring bags to keep your phone from getting scratched
  • Privacy or mirror screens
  • Compact handbags
  • Rhinestone kits

Final Thoughts

The T-Mobile Dash faceplate selection is incredible, but if you still don't see what you want you may consider making your own skin for your phone. If your cell phone is your life, why not make it obvious that it belongs to you?
