Given that the BlackBerry Pearl is largely geared toward sending text messages and emails -- the SureType keyboard is accurate and compact -- you're probably going to have to re-read your messages quite a few times! The last thing you'd want to do is to send out a critical email to an important client, only to come off appearing incredibly unprofessional for sending a message riddled with spelling errors. The LexSpell Spell Checker is invaluable, in this sense.
Opera Mini Mobile Web Browser
Everyone is online these days, and just because you're away from your main computer doesn't mean that you can have full access to the World Wide Web. Opera Mini is a free mobile web browser that lets you hop onto the Internet through your Blackberry's cellular connection. Bear in mind though, that pages will load a lot slower than they do on your broadband-connected computer. Another caveat is that you should keep an eye on your data charges, because sending that much information over the Internet can get expensive.
Google Maps Mobile
One of the most popular free BlackBerry Pearl downloads is Google Maps Mobile. Google has expanded far beyond the realms of being just a search engine, as I'm sure you're well aware. They've released a fantastic e-mail service, an online word processor and spreadsheet program, an RSS reader, and all sorts of other goodies. One of these is the fantastic mapping application and now you can get directions on the fly on your Blackberry too!
Blackberry Video Converter
As mentioned earlier, the BlackBerry Pearl is the first handset from the company to have substantial multimedia functionality. Listening to music is fun, but video is where the real action is at! Unfortunately, not all video formats are compatible with the Pearl, so you will need to go through a conversion process to make sure your favorite movie works. The free video converter by Seabyrd Tech fits the bill to a tee.
20 Language Phrase Book
Traveling to meet some international clients but you don't speak their language. Fear not, because this free phrase book provides you with key words and phrases in twenty different European languages, including German, French, Portuguese, Greek, Arabic, Japanese, and Chinese. The free version gives about 100 basic phrases, whereas the full version ($9.99) expands on this substantially.

I also like the option to change the media card size. I listen to alot of music and i am glad that i can add alot to my phone. I also like the camera. I take alot of picture. I am so glad that the pearl actully has a camera that takes great pictures. Also like that I can surf the internet on this phone. I liked it so much that i cancelled my home internet. All I use now is my pone. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PHONE> IT IS AWSOME !! There is only one draw back that i can find and that is that most of the movies off the web won;t work on the media player. Wish you could make a upgrade to make it work. THANKS !!
